REGARDING 256MBIT FLASH CART
Just needed to fix a small typo. The cartridge is to be released within the next 2 weeks, not days. The price is
still unconfirmed, but I bet it won't be cheap! ;)
A somewhat confirmed rumor tells that the makers of the Flash Advance Linker will be releasing a 256mbit GBA cartridge within
the next 2 weeks. Why they've decided to make such a cartridge, especially when there has been close to no requests for such
a cartridge, unlike before the 128mbit cart was released. This means however that we won't have to worry about games being
too large to fit on the cartridge, as the maximum size of a Gameboy Advance game is set to 256mbit. But it will be a while
before we'll see the first 256mbit game, if ever, so in the mean time you could make a nice multi cartridge? :)

LIKE THE PSX JOYPAD BETTER THAN THE GCN PAD?
And would you like to use it with your GameCube? Well then you're in luck, I guess, because the Success Company
(also known as the UFO company) is working on an adaptor for the GameCube which will allow you to do just that. At this
time there are no known re-sellers, but I bet it's just a matter of days before they start appearing at net shops.
I'm not sure how well the gadget works, but will try to have a small review of it sometime in the near future :)

NEW NES EMULATOR FOR THE N64
Believe it or not, but some people are still working on a few things for the long gone N64 "scene", one of these
projects is another NES emulator, don't we all remember good old and slow vNES64? (grin), well now Neon64 is here,
also a bit slow but unlike vNES this one is written in assembly, which should eliminate some of the problems
vNES had, I guess, now if only the author could get the unused vNES menu, which was quite cool.
Well click here to download Neon64 First Public Beta Release and here for Neon64 First Public Beta Release v2.

GB E-MERGER REVIEW | |
Netmars has sent me a sample of their e-merger GB/GBC backup unit and you can read my review
here. Please note that is this a GB/GBC copier, it nothing to do with the GBA except
it runs GB/GBC games on the GBA, so please don't write to me or even Netmars asking if it works with
GBA games.

NO INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
The Japanese company Games'Ark today told me that they will not be taking international orders for the TV De Advance,
though no specific reason given, it probably would be to avoid misunderstandings because of the language, causing angry customers,
but also the fact of dealing with credit cards (fraud) and lost packages. Well we can only hope that someone else will
pick up the TV De Advance for worldwide sale.
HOMEBREWN GAMES ADDED | |
IT'S FINALLY HERE! (WELL ALMOST)
Reservations for the TV De Advance has started at Games'Ark website. If you're not quite sure what I am talking about
here, then let me just say.. let's you play GBA games on your TV. The unit will be available sometime in November, but
Games'Ark is already taking preorders, price? a whopping 9800 Yen (~US$80).
UPDATE: I am very much aware that it doesn't look like a GBA on the picture above, this
picture was supposed to be some sort of "experimental version of the TV de Advance" according to Games'Ark. Why they
didn't just use a normal GBA instead of this, erm whatever it is, is beyond me. What you see on the picture above is not
the final version of the TV De Advance, but a picture to show what it will look like, well sort of :)

MORE ARMY MEN | |
3DO is finishing up their 2nd Army Men game for the Gameboy Advance, originally announced as Army Men Annihilation, but now

SEGA AND THQ CO-PUBLISHING AGREEMENT
THQ and Sega today announced an exclusive, multi-title co-publishing agreement. Under the agreement, THQ will co-publish 16
Gameboy Advance titles featuring Sega brands through 2003 throughout North America. The first six titles, Sonic Advance,
an "MLB-licensed game" (working title), Columns Crown, "The House of the Dead Pinball (working title), Smash Pack and
Puyo Pop are scheduled to release through March 2002. In addition, the two companies have identified ten more titles,
which they will co-develop and release through 2003.
REGARDING THE DOCTOR V64 AND JUNOR
I received a few mails from americans yesterday, regarding the now-again available V64 Nintendo64 copiers. Yes it is true that
these copiers cannot be shipped to anyone in US, Canada, Mexico and Latin American countries due to a lost court case between
Bung and Nintendo of America a few years ago, so unless you have some family or friends outside these countries, you're out of luck, sorry.
ACCLAIM ANNOUNCES NBA JAM 2002
Acclaim Entertainment is ready to try their luck on the Gameboy Advance. So yesterday they announced that they will be
bringing the NBA Jam series to the Gameboy Advance, next installment is called something as innovative as NBA Jam 2002
and is scheduled for release late 2001.
The game is being developed by Digital Creations. It's an official NBA licensed game, else they probably wouldn't call it
"NBA" Jam. Anyway it includes 29 teams and courts, more than 140 NBA superstars. It beings the traditional NBA Jam 2-on-2
arcade action but also delivers two new "Jam-style" courts, including Beach and Street Jam. Return of Fun Mode, with
player Hotspots, Hangtime, Half Court Superdunks and On Fire. Signature and special player moves, including alley-oops,
sky hooks and off-the-glass passes. Various modes of play, such as Practice, Season, Playoffs, Jam Style, Head-to-Head and
the all-new "Horse" mode. Unlock secret teams, such as the NBA Rookie Team, East and West All-Star Teams, and the
All-NBA Team and finally Tons of hidden cheat codes and surprises.
The SNES version was a killer game, I know I played it a lot, but the N64 version was not exactly great. Let's hope the
handheld and Digital Creations can deliver a cool, worth playting, Basketball game.
DOCTOR V64 JUNIOR BACK ON THE MARKET
Eventhough the old Bung company is long gone, we are still able to get our hands on new Doctor V64, N64 copiers, tanks
to no other than LikSang. They've managed to get
their hands on both the big old white Doctor V64, which can handle a max game size of 256mbit and has CD-ROM drive
built-in. But also the newer and much faster, when it comes to upoading a demo from the PC, Doctor V64 Jr. which has
512mbits of RAM. Click here to visit LikSang's
web site, the Doctor V64 Jr sells for only $199, better order while they're still in stock?
TRISTAR64 NOT DEAD YET | |
According to UFO, the Tristar64, a NES/Famicom-SNES/SFC emulator for the N64, will be back in stock in about 14 days,
so if you missed it the first time around, like I did, you're in luck. Click here to go to the UFO(Success) website.
NEW TOOL: LITTLE WRITER V1.0.3.1 BETA

NO TELEVISION DE ADVANCE IN OCTOBER
The TV hookup - TV De Advance, which is to be sold be by Games'Ark, release date slips past October and into a state of
waporware, as Games'Ask has yet been unable to come up with even a prototype picture or anything other than a cartoon-like
drawing. For more about the TV De Advance, click here.
NEW TOOL: LITTLE WRITER V1.0.3.0 BETA
Here's what's new, taken from the readme file.
1.0.3.0 beta:
· Very big Change in the stucture of the soft :
· 1 dll : LittleWriterDll.dll ( engine of the soft)
· 2 exe : LittleWriterWin32.exe (Interface Win32)
· littleWriterConsole.exe (Interface console)
· Rewrite the plugins SDK.
· Add command line support. (See Command.txt)
· You can save a compil two format :
· Save : ".lwc" : mode command, create a file who contains all the command made since last refresh.
· Save Rom : ".lwb" : mode binary, create a file with the contains of the card + some info.
· Now you can save a rom after appying it plugins. (context menu->save).
· No the "No trainer" plugins trim the rom after removing the intro/trainer.
· Fix bug when the last rom name is no more valid, (load dialog box doesn't appear..)
However, I have chosen not to make this release downloadable from 64scener as I got/get a runtime error when trying to
run the software, and believe everyone gets this aswell, so I see no reason to make it available until the author makes a
working, tested, release. Little Writer is a somewhat ok program with some nice features, but I would still recommend to use
the official software, as Little Writer tends to screw up cartridges, tried this myself when testing the program.
NEW GAMEBOY ADVANCE COPIER
We reviewed the EMS Transferer 2 a few days ago, thanks to LikSang.
Our review didn't really encourage anyone to get out and buy a Transferer 2 because of it's slow uploading time.
But now LikSang has announced that a new copier will be entering the market soon, developing company is unknown
at this time. It's said to be similar to the e-merger, a GBC copier, using a stand alone unit. For more details
and pictures, please visit the LikSang web site.
ANOTHER GBA PINBALL GAME
Pinball of the Dead (Sega), and a yet unannounced danish-developed pinball game are no longer the only two
pinball games in production. A company called Paragon 5 has just announced that they are working on a pinball
game called Elite Pinball, and is based on PC and Amiga games released earlier. The final game should contain
4 - 6 different tables and have atleast 5 differen't songs to choose from.
Paragon 5 is currently looking for a publisher and is confident that the game will see the light of day on the
Gameboy Advance. The Sega and Paragon 5 games look pretty much the same though, while the yet unannounced danish
developed pinball game looks differen't, giving a better feeling of playing a pinball machine. We'll have more
about all 3 titles later on. For now we've added some screenshots of Elite Pinball.
