| NEW TOOL: SPECTRUM ROM INJECTOR (FOON) | |
Strags, author of the Spectrum emulator released a rom injector
for the emulator a few days ago, I just "forgot" to add it, but here it is. Follow is taken from the site
"This is still early code. Don't be surprised if certain ROMs break the emulator completely! There is no
throttling yet. Some games will play slower than 100%, some will play much faster. Most games that I've
tested are playable, though!".

On a side note, the following news was added to the site today: "Audio is nearly working... I just have
some bizarre timing issues to iron out, and then I'll put up another release. Going to be busy with "real"
work today, but will hopefully have an hour or two to spend on the emulator this evening.

I received this odd game accessory about a week ago, and here's a small page about it. Basicly this is a converter for the
GameCube which will allow you to use a PSX joypad instead of the normal GCN controller. It's is produced by Success Company
(UFO), who was nice enough to send me a sample. The product is released under the Blaze label, which should be well known

gbaemu.com received an update of the Flash Advance Writer software, here's what's new (taken from www.gbaemu.com)
- Add 8 banks of 32K bytes Saver read/write operation for GBC/GB games to be run in FA cart with GB Bridge.
- Add 'Save list'/'Load list'/'Add list' operations for the list of files choosed by mouse right click in the bottom window.
- All types can be sorted in the bottom window. Some time it needs to sort by size/path/file name/type/game name to get a suitable sequence to let the choosed files to be wirttern in the most near of size of FA cart.
- Built in GBA loader v3.1 'gbaldr31.bin' to let multi GBA game menu adds the new run game choice of Saver bank no. selection before start game by pressing 'B' button intead of 'A' button of GBA.
- Other then drag file to the bottom window, now you can double click the file to add it in the bottom windows.

| FLASH ADVANCE WRITER AND WINDOWS XP | |
It seems that WindowsXP users have problems running the Flash Advance Writer software, it simply says
"driverLINX error"... Thanks to Rowan this problem has been solved, as he went searching for a solution,
Visoly being of absolutely no help. Well he found a program called port95nt.exe which is a program to properly
install the driverLINX driver (in win 95/nt/xp). Click here to download the program.

| MODDING YOUR JAPANESE GAMECUBE | |
Ever since the release of the Japanese GameCube was released, speculations have aunted the internet wether if would be
possible to modify it to be able to play US games. Lots of attempts have been made and one finally paied off. All that
has to be done is attach a switch to two points (R6) right next to eachother on the board and you'll
have a multicube :)
Please note though that the operation is quite hard as the soldering points are incredibly small, and you may
destroy them if you aren't careful, but still fast, when soldering the wires onto the two points. It can be done
and a good advice is to put some hot glue on the spot after the soldering is done.

Well I had to leave the site, and country, all by it self for a week because of real job made me go to Sweden almost
with internet access, didn't really matter though as it was one hell of a busy week. But I'm back now and sure

Golden Sun.

| BEST GBA 256MBIT FLASH CART PRICE | |
UFO, aka Success Company, today announced their price for the soon to be released 256mbit GBA flash cartridge,
which will be US$147 compared to LikSang's US$179, a difference of no less than US$32. UFO's price for the
GB bride is also a bit lower, US$38 compared to US$49 at LikSang. Both companies has the same upgrade plan though,
US$75 to upgrade a 128mbit cartridge to 256mbit. Think twice before you order, and maybe even wait a few more days
before you place your order, cause who knows what will happen. And they say competition is bad? ;)

| MORE INFORMATION REGARDING 256MBIT CARTRIDGE | |
The day after 64scener posted the first pictures of the new GBA 256mbit cartridge and GBC adaptor, LikSang
updated their site with some interesting news. It seems that this new cartridge has just about everything
one could wish for, such as EEPROM support, finally, as well as the minimum bank size has been reduced
to 32kbyte, which means you can store a lot of homebrewn games and demos on the 256mbit cartrridge, I
guess this also means that the next menu file (v3) will be a real scroll menu. Not only is the cartridge
also finally down to actual GBA cart size, but it also uses 50% less power than the old carts.
The price has been set to $179 at LikSang, upgrade option available - check their site for details. The
new cartridge will also be available from the UFO company soon, who are known for having the best prices,
so you might want to wait a bit before ordering.
| ACTION REPLAY GBX RELEASED | |
Datel today announced that the Gameboy Advance cheat device, the Action Replay GBX, has been released,
with a delay of a little over a month. Once inserted, you can plug any game into Action Replay GBX
and start cheating! Action Replay GBX comes preloaded with tons of codes for all your favourite
Game Boy Advance games, but can also be connected to a PC for uploading new codes via a USB cable and
PC software included. We have just ordered a copy and will bring you a review as soon as we
receive the package, or shortly after atleast :)

We have received the first pictures of the new Flash Advance 256mbit cartridge which proves that the Flash cartridge now
is actual GBA cartridge size, very nice indeed! And as written back in August, and we got laughed at quite a bit, we
are able to present you with a picture of the GBC adaptor for the GBA flash cartridge, which means you can use your GBA
flash cartridge to host GBC/GB games.
On a side note we can present you with a picture of an upcomming Taiwanese gameboy copier, combined GBA/GBC copier. The release
date and price of both Flash 256mbit cartridge and this new copier is unknown at this time.
