This is not correct. There are 4 events closed when you start the game. That is Swimming,Triple Jump,Skeet and Vault. The second swimming event and triplejump you will get when u get a medal on all the events in Trial mode. L.A will do nothing in Championship mode (there will be a some special sound when a code is activated. In trial mode L.A will change the color of your player to metalic. L.A, Moscow, Montral and Tokyo are cheatcodes you will get when you are no1 after completing all the events in championship mode. What to look forwars to from the US market is Kirby 64, which is doing quite well in Asia, as well as Army Men Air Combat, the 4th 3DO company game for the N64.
