DEXDRIVE SAVES
The DexDrive was a great idea, but which unfortunately didn't hit big time due to a lazy
distributor, InterAct, who if they had done a bit more advertising could've had a great
selling item on their hands. The DexDrive lets you backup controller paks on your PC, which
means that you will have a lot more space to store saves and you don't have to spend money
over and over.

This page contains saves, both controller pak and sram, backed up by the InterAct DexPlorer
unit. To be able to use these files you ofcourse need a DexDrive and one can be obtained from
www.ebworld.com for the low price of $4.99, so
there's no reason not to get one.
Once the DexDrive and DexPlorer software is installed you're able to backup controller packs, but
some unofficial paks may cause problems, like the DexPlorer wont read them, so either get an
original pak or one from InterAct. Unfortunately there's currently no program which is able to back
up EEROMs correctly so that it doesnt become corrupt when uploaded to the PC.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO BACKUP SYSTEM USERS
I have discovered a way not to get corrupted EEPROMs under the transfer from the Blackbag
Memory Manager's save on the controller pak to the DexDrive. The only way to back up
the EEPROM to the PC is to have the DexDrive do a backup of the entire controller pak and it only
works if you use the backup button in the DexPlorer software. When you want EEPROM back on a
controller pak you cant just drag and drop the file, but you need to use the restore button
in the DexPlorer software which then will transfer the entire controller pak save back on the
controller pak. Please note that the restore option deletes everything on the controller pak
before uploading the backed up dexdrive save.

The official DexDrive program which will let you backup and manage your .n64 (DexDrive) saves
A utility which will convert DexDrive EEPROM saves into V64 loadable files. It will extract
the EEPROM to a .sav file and the SRAM Upload util is inluded in the .zip to upload the EEPROM
to the Doctor V64.

This little utility will convert N64 Dexdrive Saves to Z64 mempack Saves, and vice-versa.
These Z64 mempak saves can also be used by the V64jr Evek tool.
