I did, used gep.exe (eeprom patch tool) for that - works perfectly.

I've tried gep but it says that "there is not enough room for the patch it may be buggy" so when I try to use it, it hangs. Sob !!

That message just means that instead of writing the patch code at the end of the ROM it writes it somewhere else inside. I guess you've just accidentally flashed the wrong (un-patched) ROM.

Ya go to http://www.megagames.com/gba/gba.shtml they have the IPS patch if you have the flash advance writer just turn IPS apply on and apply just like you would a game save. It worked great for me
