How to perform the mod...
Make sure you have the following items before you begin!
1. A colored N64....if you don't know what i'm talking about, read this.
2. A 9.5 mm security screw bit. (or if you are feeling ghetto, you can use some
surgical tweezers
3. An exacto knife or small jeweler's screwdriver.
4. A REALLY good soldering iron! (No el-cheeepos)
5. Two pieces of small guage wire about 6 inches in length. ( I used some wire from an
old computer's power supply)

Make sure you read my article on the pros and cons of this mod first!

Some background info on the mod

The N64's main CPU speed is 93.75 MHz, with a bus speed of 62.5 MHz.
The CPU speed is generated from a multiple of the bus speed, in this case 1.5X.
Essentially what this mod does is sets the multiple to 2.0X or even 3.0Xallowing the CPU
speed to increase to 125 MHz or 187 MHz.
Getting Started

After opening your N64, remove the heat sink, metal shielding, and the three heat
disks from the N64's logic board. Now that you have everything off, take a look at the board, there should be three IC chips: 1 rectangular chip (RAM), and two square chips (CPU, GPU).
Look at the chip to the far left (CPU- highlighted in yellow) this is the chip we will be dealing with.
See diagram below...
Now look at the bottom of the CPU (pins 91-120). Pins 112 and 116 set what the multiplier is, depending on what they are attached to. Here is a chart of how you set your desired multiplier.
