Get 100% Performance from your Genesis...
I have recently performed the mod on my Genesis...after several tries ;). This overclocking is nique in that you have a variety of speeds to choose from. There are complete instructions on Deven Gallo's site. I decided to go with the 13.4 MHz version since it didn't require changing any oscillators.
Deven stated that the 13.4 MHz overclock has a few issues depending on the game, and you must switch into this mode after booting, this is definitely true in both cases.
More about the 13.4 MHz overclock...
These really aren't problems, because keep in mind you can easily switch back to your good ol' stock Genny ;). Ahh yes, the switches, they allow you to change the clock speed....during a game....pretty sweet ;). Kinda makes it look like you have hydros on your Genesis....anyways;). A few tips:

1. One thing you have to remember is to keep your COPPER wires SHORT! This will  determine the reliability of the switching between speeds.
2. Make sure your RF shield doesn't touch the back of your switches! This will most likely kill the board.
3. Do not remove the RF shield all together! Yes, it does serve a purpose. Not only does it block dust, but it blocks RF frequencies as well ;).
Things to look for in a Genesis...
There were many different CPU manufacturers supplying their version of Motorola's 68000: Motorola ;), Hitachi, Signetics Corp., and Toshiba.
Hitachi's version is the one you really want, but the others will work too EXCEPT the Signetics version of the CPU: SCN68000 or SCN68HC000. This version of the CPU cannot be overclocked!
Note: The "HC" in "68HC000" means that it is the CMOS version, this does not affect the O/C.
The Signetics Corp. SCN68000 CPU......BAD!!
Game Compatability...
Overall, the game compatability was decent. There are some major sound issues and some graphical issues, but then again it's no big deal because you can switch back to 7.6 MHz and everything is A O K.

List of games I tested with problems (other than minor sound issues)
1.Super Street Fighter II......................................Will not boot at 13.4 MHz at all
2. Road Rash II..................................................Improved FPS, but sound has severe issues
3. Sonic 2 Special Stage.......................................Will not run in 13.4 MHz mode
4. WWF Wrestlemania Arcade...............................Will not boot at 13.4 MHz
5. WWF RAW......................................................Will boot, but soon locks up
6. Bonanza Brothers.............................................Will not boot
7. RBI Baseball '94..............................................Boots but with severe graphical and sound issues
8. Cool Spot........................................................Will boot, but locks
9. World Series Baseball.......................................Will boot, but locks
10. Wayne Gretzky Hockey.................................Weird problem, plays scrambled children's songs
                                                                       while playing (no joke!)
