Faster than a locomotive! Faster than a speeding bullet! Is it a bird? Is it plane?!
It's.. erh wait, it's just Super Ed.
Well fat people have had their own videogame superhero for years now,
Super Mario. But now there's no more discrimination, cause now the
thin people have their very own hero, Ed! But just what DID he
do to deserve a name like that?!
Anyway, first look at Ed makes me think of Rayman, cause they're made in almost
same style, and since Rayman is one of my favourite platform games, could
this be a bad buy?
Unlike Rayman, Tonic Trouble is a 3D platformer with a lot more humor than
Rayman. Ed's first mission is to rescue this good-lookin' female's father
who then will help Ed gaining super powers, say flying, like a real super hero.
But the beginning of Tonic Trouble is a bit weird. You start off racing down
a hill, which you have to do within a certain ammount of time, 1 minute and 35 seconds
to be exact. I was very annoyed by this, eventhough I tried a lot of times, I never could make
it within the 1 minute and 35 seconds, hmmm. The weirdest part is that you're
allowed to continue eventhough you dont make it down the hill in time.
Well as I said earlier, Tonic Trouble is a 3D platformer with great humor. But dont think
that its just another jump and dont think game, like Quake or whatever, Ed has to
solve a lot of puzzles on his way, like he has to fix a popcorn machine.
I might go too far by saying this, but I'm gonna do it anyway. I believe
Ed and Tonic Trouble has the same standard as Banjo Kazooie and Mario 64, but everything
works out so well, a good story, great graphics and addictive tunes... IT'S A WINNER!!. Ed
might not look like a hero, but dude, HE can fix a popcorn machine, now thats what
I call cool shit :)
