___ ___ ___ /__/|_ /__/| STRIDER, BRINGING YOU THE LATEST IN CONSOLE REVIEWS /__/\| /__/\| || (c64) WELCOME TO CONSOLE64! (c64) | \ \ | | \ || | \ \| | \ || Issue 3 - May 4th, 1997 - New Games Reviewed: | \ | | \ \|| ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | \ \| | |\ | Starfox 64 [Force Pak Required!?] | |\ | | \/ ALSO: Waverace 64 *PAL* |__| \____|/ Cruis N' USA *PAL* Killer Instinct Gold *PAL* News since the last issue: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ - From WWW.DEXTROSE.COM -> We learn from our as usual well-informed sources that Bung is going to develop new features to the V64 so the User can "remote-control the memory editing inside the V64 by using a "PC". Also there will be information released how to enhance the V64 Bios. The so-called "Remote-Control" will be released mid-may, while the other information will be ready for the end of May. So stay tuned! - RBubba has always programmed for us, he has brought use the multisession BIOS and now hi greatness has presented us with something even better! A SRAM save, even though it uses the CONTROLLER PAKS, it is still better than no SRAM support! - BTW This issue was released a little earlier, thanks to REDBOX hehehe... He said he'll get mad if I don't release it soon! Hahahaha... =) [9:45] Strider, when the next console64 out!!! [9:45] ARRGGHH!! [9:46] Answer me or I'll get angry.. [9:46] Heh... The RATINGS expressed here are based upon the game's graphics, sound, controls, and its originality. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- These are the reviews from April 21st -> May 5th [Console64] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -> FILENAME : MSFTUG30.ZIP -> RELEASE DATE: April 25th, 1997 -> FEATURES : SRAM Saves [Only High Scores...] ___ __ .--------.-----.' _| |_ --.--.-----. | |__ --| _| _| | | _ | |__|__|__|_____|__| ____|_____|___ | [DoOm]_____| Mess with the Best, Die like the Rest! @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ ===% Starfox 64 from Nintendo ! %=== [V64/96Mbit]@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ Strider -> STARFOX 64, Needs the rumble crack PAK =) Actually that's what I thought in the beginning, however with JOVIS' crack it works great. This is a nice game to play since we haven't had anything to play since BLAST CORPS =) [Mahjong 64? Nah... Heh...] Anyway this game was a nice improvement over its SNES counterpart, no more polygon characters, they now look pretty real. The game has many hidden boards, which appear depending what you do during the game. One of my favorite is the ID4 board, looks great hehe... The only complaint I have with the game is the 2 player mode, it still shows the game in 4-player split screen. Making it small is hard to see. The multiplayer mode is somewhat fun, but gets old easily. Hopefully most people out there will not get bored of this game too quickly (Because this game is pretty good.) Maybe the next game release will keep you busy. (WARGODS) One more note, I love the bosses in the game heheh...
