Long after the PlayStation version is out, N64 games get the chance to enjoy this Disney game. The game is nothing less than a port of the Playstation version, missing a nice music video intro though, which could've been possible on the N64 if they wanted to, oh well.

When I booted Tarzan and started playing, the first thing that came to my mind is how identican this game really is to the old SNES version of the Lion King. You start off as a Kid, kitten in Lion King, and age along the way ending up as a grown man, and Lion.

Tarzan also features the "Stampede" stage which is known from the Lion King, a 3D'ish stage where Tarzan is being chased by Chimpansees while having to collect all kinds of stuff without getting hit by the monkeys.

The game features something called "character screens". To be able to view these, Tarzan has to collect 6 letters on each stage and spell the name "TARZAN". Some stages have to be played over and over to discover these cleverly hidden letters, but it doesnt make the lastbility of the game much better.

The game is pretty well based on the movie I believe, without ever having seen the movie heh. But these jump 'n run platformers tend to get boring pretty quick, and Tarzan is no exception, yes they have made a few things to prevent this such as the bonus levels, collect the 4 pieces of paper of the monkey drawing to be able to get to the bonus stage, but the levels arent hard enough to prevent anyone who has played a videogame before to finish the game.

In all, a pretty well coded platformer, just too friggin easy and once you've completed it you cant be bothered to play it again, honestly I'd rather play Super Mario 64 over again.

Overall: 60%
Final note: Typical Disney platformer, very similar to the old Lion King game. But still, the game has some nice graphics and nice levels. A bit easy for the hardcore gamer tho.
