Rainbow Six is a classic Clancy-style story. You are the leader of an elite multinational task force which has been formed to battle international terrorism. The game plays pretty much like Goldeneye, Winback and Mission Impossible, it uses the mix of first-person shoot 'em up and the action-packed missions which have to be successfully completed to continue.

In each mission you must excecute assaults against terrorists in different parts of the world, first level takes place in a Jungle with a house takenover by the terrorists who have captured a few people, who you now have to rescue. The missions get larger after each mission being completed. The game features a total of 12 missions.

The game is very life-like, which means that once you get hit just by one bullet in a critical spot and you're allowed to start over. So when you've walked and fought through the same level for "years" and suddently get hit by one little shot you may start over, fantastic huh?.

The game graphics and sound are very nice, but isnt exactly brilliant either. But the atmosphere in the game is great and it really makes you feel that you're "in the game" and you have to rescue the hostages alive. But I've had problems getting passed the first mission, eventhough I've completed it successfully. Somehow it doesnt show the next mission, but lets me play the same mission over and over. However I finally got it to exceed to the next mission, who knows how.

In all, a great game which sure will entertain you if you like this type of games, though it still doesnt reach the same level of playability and lastbility as Goldeneye, but then again what does? (Still waiting for Perfect Dark).
