Majesco was the first company to bring Top Gun action to the Gameboy Adance in the shape of F14 Tomcat, which actually
reminds me of Turn 'n Burn on the Super Nintendo.
Maybe that isn't so weird as it's said that Majesco bought the rights from Absolute for Turn and Burn: No Fly Zone, and
then converted it to the Gameboy Advance, well that's just Majesco's way of doing things, the easy way, but also a path
which usually leads to crappy games.
This port, adaption to GBA, was done by Virtucraft and Majeaco's own inhouse development team called PipeDream
Interactive and is actually quite well done and a bit above the usual Majesco game standard.
The visuals and sound is very nice, and controls are excellent, the down side must be the machinegun noise which got on my nerves or the very annoying beeps when a
is on your tale, and where are the missiles? After two missions I somehow got bored to death of shooting down enemy planes
with just a machine gun while I was struk by missiles from both sub's and enemy planes. The game also features multiplayer,
which I havne't had the pleasure of checking out, that part could be fun though.
Well a decent fly simulator, but I bet the Gameboy Advance can do better.
