Yesterday I was looking through some old N64 video tapes, released with magazines and such,
and stumbled across something which didn't look 100% like the Diddy Kong Racing game I've
played, differences such as:
After the character presentation the game finally it ends up on a screen, titlescreen, with the START/OPTION features and a logo in the beta version which doesn't look like the one in the final game. Underneath the logo in the beta, a text says Version 1.966.
The game itself isn't quite the same either. In the beta version you collect "Rare" coins instead of bananas like the final, released, version of the game. I can't say for sure if these are the only things which was changed in the game, but eventhough they're small and not that important, I felt that they needed a mention anyway :)
