  • BODY HARVEST REVIEW

Station Omega, Earth Orbit 2016. The Earh lies in ruins. Over the past 100 years a vast alien invasion has harvested mankind to the brink of extinction. High above the death planet, the last survivors hatch a desperate plan to halt the invasion at key points in the earth's past.

A prototype time travel vehicle is ready . It's crew, a team of genetically enhanced soldiers is being prepared. But time has run out, the aliens have returned... and they're hungry!

Back when this game was released I didnt really care enough to actually dig into it, why? Well honestly, its beginning is a bit too boring. You start off near two houses, no humans abround, only an old rusty vehicle and dont really have a clue what exactly you have to do, well atleast I didnt.

You, a good-guy warrior in a nice orange outfit, is on a mission to save the world from some nasty giantic green bugs which looks like spiders and bees. At first it just seemed like a basic 3D shooter, similar to doom, quake, duke nukem... I could go on forever but no. Anyway the game actually is just as much adventure as shoot 'em up.

You have to explore areas, such as old mines and abandoned houses for clues to complete each mission. There's actually a lot of reading in this game, and each time a bookshelf is nearby, It's a good idea to go there and check it out.

Each Mission is devided into a lot of smaller missions, like finding a key to a special door, and each of these small missions has to be completed before the level mission, which is an even bigger "boss" bug (yey).

Graphics is nothing special, well neither is sound, infact it gets rather annoying after awhile, so keep your remote close to you. But the enviroment and story makes this game kick ass and has kept me glued to the controller. Keep in mind that it wasnt graphics and sound which made a great game on earlier consoles, like the NES :)

Dont get annoyed by the boring beginning, once you've completed the first mission, the adventure begins for real! now go play this brilliant game! :)
