     release notes

What can we say? This is probably the most desired game for the Game
Boy Advance, and we're here to bring it to you. Check out the texts
below for game information, but if you remember Mario Kart from the
Super Nintendo/Famicom, you know what it's all about. Enjoy this
definite classic four days prior to Japanese retail!

     game notes

The classic high-speed hijinks of Mario and friends roar onto the Game
     Boy Advance!

Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Wario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Toad and
Bowser put the pedal to the go-kart metal in 20 all-new tracks, plus
additional hidden tracks and classic multiplayer Battle Mode. Grab
coins to max out your speed and blast your rivals with the ever-
popular arsenal of red, green and spiked Koopa shells.

Players can hop into the role of any racer, provided that no two
players use the same racer in a multiplayer game. Racers range from
Toad, Yoshi and Princess Peach, who accelerate quickly but are easily
knocked off-course by Bowser, Donkey Kong and Wario. While the three
lumbering bruisers accelerate slowly and lack the pinpoint control of
their smaller rivals, each boasts a terrific top speed. Between the
extremes of light and heavy karts are the well-balanced brothers
     Mario and Luigi.

The one-player Mario Grand Prix whisks you away on a whirlwind of the
Mushroom Kingdom, ranging from the flat-out fun of Mario Circuit to
the lava lakes of Bowser Castle. Each track has its unique
challenges, ranging from the crabs skittering across Shy Guy Beach to
the Piranha Plants lurking in the quicksand of Yoshi Desert. You'll
earn points with every high-place finish and you'll win trophies with
the completion of every four-race cup.

Things start off fairly sedately on the low-powered 50cc karts, but
quickly because fast and furious in the 100cc mode and flat-out
frenetic when you move up to the 150cc behemoths. If you do very
well, you'll earn a high rating and unlock more tracks.

The courses are packed with traps, tricks, shortcuts and speed-
effecting elements. You'll slide in loose gravel and snow, slow down
in shallow water and fall through wide gaps, then watch the
competition zip by as you wait for a cloud-riding Lakitu to fish you
out. Jumps, ice, rough weather and many more track features yield
infinite surprises and fun. By collecting coins, you can add to your
overall speed and the durability of your racer. By hitting boost
pads, you can blast off at rocket speed.

Mario Kart Super Circuit bristles with great multiplayer modes for
lap after lap of high-octane fun! Up to four players can race at
once. You'll need as many GBAs as there are players and enough GBA
Game Link Cables to hook all the systems together. With a single
Game Pak, you can upload any of four new tracks to the other systems
and go head-to-head with a Yoshi behind the wheel of every
competitor's kart. If you have a Game Pak for every player, you can
select any track that has been unlocked on one of the Game Paks for
a single race, or participate in the Mario Grand Prix with multiple
     entries.

As many as four players can take high-speed whacks at each other
with Battle Mode, a favorite from Mario Kart Super NES and Mario
Kart 64. Sporting three colorful balloons, each racer enters a
special open arena. Each time you bonk a rival with a Koopa shell,
you'll shake loose one of their balloons. Half the challenge and fun
of Battle Mode is dodging your opponents' relentless attacks. The
last player with a balloon is the winner!

Thanks to the Game Boy Advance's wide screen, you'll always enjoy
panoramic racing action, even when competing against as many as four
friends. The L and R buttons give  you great control over power
slides. And the GBA's 32-bit processing horsepower guarantees
intricately detailed backgrounds with multiple scrolling planes that
move in perspective as you zip through high-speed turns. Gorgeous-
looking and great-playing: That's Mario Kart Super Circuit!

     Features

       * 20 all-new tracks.

       * Fast-paced driving action.

       * Pick from many characters out of the Nintendo World.

       * Up to 4 players can race with the Link Cable.
